Connection, Pleasure, and Intimacy

Hello beloveds!

As some of you know, I’m currently working on an astrology deck to help you connect more deeply with the meaning of all the signs, symbols, and archetypes represented by your chart.

The art is pretty much all done (!!), and now I’m in the process of writing the guidebook for the deck.

One section of the guide contains suggested readings for you to do with yourself and, of course, a Love, Lust, and Connection Reading is among them.

Who among us isn’t curious about what the stars (and planets and asteroids and moons) have to say about our relational style and needs?? EVEN if we don’t believe in astrology!

And then, just yesterday, I realized that it’s almost Valentine’s day! While a big part of me thinks it’s a dumb, consumerist, Hallmark Holiday that puts pressure on people in relationships and presses on the bruises of those who long to be in one, a part of me loves Valentine’s Day because of the handmade construction paper cards we shared with our classmates as kids and the parties my mom helped me host with individual heart-shaped Jell-Os and the handmade cards my mom still sends with mad money every year.

And so, despite my cynic’s presence, the part of me that loves love more than anything—-which isn’t a part at all, but my essential self—-wants to do SOMETHING for this heart-shaped holiday!
